It is official, I hate Saturday! I’ve been late for work twice already on Saturdays because of problems with the trains. Yesterday I arrived to the station on time again and … “Today there will be no trains due to works on the railway line”. Nooooo….

I was thinking if I showed up late for a third time the inevitable question would be if I still had a job? Fortunately, they organized a bus to the city centre where I caught taxi and arrived 15 minutes earlier than usual 🙂 Uhh, it was stressful. On the bus I sat next to a likeable middle-aged man who immediately started a conversation with me. He works in a library and his wife is from Estonia. We talked about everything, he questioned me about the situation in Croatia, about my children, my work and with what I’m especially touched with, he walked me to the taxi and waited for me to go and asked “Is everything ok” before he continued on his way, even though at that time he was late for work… A truly a gentlemanly gesture!!!

In the salon it was crazy, all the clients were delayed due to events around the traffic collapse and Dart works. By the end of the work shift I did not know how I was going to get home, the only bus that goes to my way is located in the city centre, in an area where I’d had bad experiences before. The young girl who recently came to the salon as apprentice had to go in a similar direction and offered to walk me to my station. When we got there she said, “I hate this part of town, it’s so dangerous, hold your purse tight and walk fast because in a second your purse can vanish “. She insisted on walking me to the station with the words “If I was not from Ireland I would like someone do the same for me, I know the city.”

On some Facebook group several women have appeared who began to attack me because of my blog, which is totally ridiculous, I write about my experiences and if someone does not like it I truly do not understand why they read it?! Thank you girls and boys who stood by my side, I appreciate it…

I was very touched and in general I very much like this eighteen year old girl, she is very pretty and a nice girl. She lives in one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in Dublin and says she cannot wait to get out of there someday. I’m so glad she got a chance from our boss. Our boss already hired a girl from Brazil and trained her to work, hired me, with good but imperfect English and now this young girl whom you can conclude is not a rich dad’s girl unlike 99% of our clients.

On some Facebook group several women have appeared who began to attack me because of my blog, which is totally ridiculous, I write about my experiences and if someone does not like it I truly do not understand why they read it?! Thank you girls and boys who stood by my side, I appreciate it… The same happened to me in Croatia, jealous women at every step.…

Yesterday my client said, “You look great and it will help you here, because it is much easier for customers to let beauty into the hands of a professional which looks good, we have a feeling that you will make us look nice too.”

No matter what I wrote in the last post that I’ve experienced overly pleasant Irish behaviour, it is definitely my preference in comparison to Croatian envy, insolence and tendency to attack people without any reason….

In the evening I started to feel cold and had a pain in my right ear. The pain was much stronger the following morning so I called the doctor on duty as it was Sunday. They told me that within three hours someone would come to my house. After an hour and a half the doctor appeared, he made a quick examination and simply concluded that I have an ear infection, prescribed me antibiotics and some pain killers!? Let me be honest, his exit through the front door actually took more time than he spent examining me and of course he charged me with 60 euro. I didn’t admit the call out visit at all to my regular GP the following week when the same symptoms came back and my GP gave an entirely different diagnosis. Conclusion! Be careful to whom you are entrusting your health!

I was supposed to go out last night with my husband, it is now ruined because of my earache but at least during the days that followed I caught some rest and enjoyed being at home with my family.

Hello to everyone,

Like Dr. House says: “If nobody hates you, you’re doing something wrong….”
